What new sports facility would you like for Wadhurst?

The Parish Council is investigating how best to use the land donated to it by the Voelcker family next to the Sparrows Green Recreation Ground. Part of it is already being used by the Junior Football Club as mini-pitches, but we hope to make more of it and particularly to develop a facility that doesn’t already exist in village.

Any facility should benefit a wide range of people and we’re particularly interested in providing more facilities for teenagers.

Our initial plan is to build a multi-purpose all-weather pitch which could be used for organised sports, such as football, hockey, netball and tennis and also informal activites, like basketball matches and kick-arounds. However we’re happy to consider any serious suggestion as to how best the land could benefit you.
