WD/2008/0221/F  Windmill,  Castle Walk
Demolition of existing single storey structure to the east side of the property and construction of a replacement double storey structure plus an additional single storey extension to the west of the existing garage and replacement of the existing flat roof with a pitched roof.

The applicant Mr Elder also attended whilst this application was discussed

Whilst this application does not follow the Wealden Design Guide advice regarding the set back from the front wall plane of the existing building, nevertheless we support the proposal as the overall effect is an improvement in that the existing ill considered single storey extensions have been demolished.
It is noted that the French doors to the family room are shown as 2 pairs on the plan  whereas  the elevation shows 3 pairs

WD/2008/0169/F  Beaconhurst, Old Station Road.
Single storey pitched roof side extension for use as utility room, removal of existing porch.

WD/2008/0108/F  The Keys (flats 1 & 2) Station Hill
Erection of pair of garages (flats 1 & 2) with access road and additional parking area.

It is considered that the excessive amount of excavation might adversely effect the stability of the surrounding development, the car parking  area  does not provide adequate turning space., and the pine trees on the neighbouring property  adjoining the garages would be adversely affected., therefore we object to the proposal.
It is noted that the rear elevation is inaccurate in that most of it would be concealed by the retaining wall

WD/2008/0232/F  Wadhurst Castle.
Alterations to outbuilding and conversion to self-contained dwelling.

No objection in principle.
It is noted that the chimney serving the kitchen in the adjoining property has been removed although no reference is made as to how this will affect the facilities in this room

WD/2652/CC  Wadhurst C E Primary School, Sparrows Green Road
Installation of a flat panel antenna to chimney stack.

No comment provided the District Council are satisfied that there are no adverse health implications
