Replacement Dwelling.
No objection in principle. Concern over extent of additional accommodation to a six bedroom house and the associated increase in vehicular traffic at a poor junction and site egress. We would prefer to see access relocated onto one of the adjacent roadways.

No objection.

Cllr. Bell rejoined the meeting at 10.14.
WD/07/1423/F: 3 Jonas Drive
Rear conservatory erection
No objection on planning grounds but consider that there are building regulations issues to warrant concern.

WD/07/1401/F: Wadhurst Ironmongers, High Street
Single storey extension to provide roof cover and security to the existing open air retail space.
No objection in principle to the covering over of external sales area owned by the applicant, but we have concerns about the treatment of the vertical enclosure and roofing materials.
Security shutters could obstruct visibility for cars leaving the car park and invite graffiti. We would suggest that a conservatory type appearance would achieve the applicant’s requirements and look more appropriate on an important period building location in the High Street scene, which is part of the Conservation Area. The fire exit door is located in a dangerous position and increases the extent of narrow pavement unnecessarily.
