WD/2007/0997/F  2 Voakley Cottages
Erection of two storey side and front extension with single storey rear extension

Strongly object as the proposal conflicts with the requirements of local plan policy DC19 which requires extensions to be of an appropriate size relative to the original dwelling, which presumably was one reason for the refusal in 2001. On the applicant’s own admission it represents an increase of 45% in area. Further it also detracts from the symmetry of the original pair of semi-detached cottages.

Finally, although it may be argued that it is not a planning issue, this Council deplores the loss of yet another relatively modest dwelling.

WD/2007/1074/F  The Four Keys, Station Road
Demolition of the existing Four Keys building containing 2 residential units and erection of a terrace of 3 houses and highway improvements to the site entrance.

We can see no difference between this application and the previous one and therefore our comments dated 14 October still apply.

WD/2007/0920/F Buckhurst Place, Buckhurst Lane
Provision of a single slim profile roof light (conservation style) in the southern elevation of the tower.

No objection.

Erection of single storey astronomical dome approximately 7 feet in diameter to be placed on decking 10 feet in diameter.
