_____________________________________________________________________________

Resolved to confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 12th June.

WD/2010/1035/F  Apple Tree Cottage, Hollydene Road, Sparrows Green
Side and first floor extensions
The adjoining resident of Braeside expressed his objection to the proposal

Strongly object on the grounds of the scale of the building and overlooking of neighbours. It is also pointed out the section drawing is incorrect in that it does not show the change in ground level. It would also be impractical to construct part of the side extension foundation without affecting the party boundary wall

WD/2010/0765/F  Courts 1 and 2, Wadhurst Tennis Club, Sparrows Green Recreation Ground, South View Road, Sparrows Green.
Erection of 9 static columns with attached floodlights alongside  court Nos. 1 and 2 only.
Additional lighting & ecological information accompanying supporting letter all dated 1 June 2010. Amended location & block plan, very minor amendment (northern boundary) date stamped 15 June 2010.
Three members of the public expressed their objection to the proposal.

No objection provided the two conditions referred to in our comments on the previous application are retained.

Cllrs Mamlok and Bell objected to the proposal on the grounds that it contravened Wealden Policy Nos.EN6, EN27, and PPS9

WD/2010/1253/F  South Acre, Castle Walk.
Enlargement of garage by 1.7M

No objection in principle but point out that there was no Design and Access Statement or indication of materials. The appearance would also have been improved if the log store roof had been in the form of a Catslide.

WD/2010/1320/F  Unit 2, Castle Keep Business Centre, High Street.
Change of use to form retail shop for animal and pet feedstuffs, A1 use from B1

We support this application as clearly it will promote new business.

WD/2010/1372/F  Wesley House, Lower High Street.
Alterations and rear extension.

No objection in principle but it is considered that the west elevation dormer window is aesthetically unacceptable.

WD/2009/1328/FR  The Dens, Churchsettle Lane
Alterations to application WD/2002/2918/F including amended site layout, stable and store with extension to existing pole barn.

No objection.

WD/2924/CC Uplands Community College, Lower High Street
Provision of multi use games area (MUGA) on space currently used for sports

It is considered that the site is not ideal and that the original tennis courts site would have been preferable
