Minutes of Wadhurst Parish Council’s Planning Committee
meeting held at Carillon Cottage on Saturday 10th April 2010

Present: Cllrs. Bell, Berger (Chairman) Kent, Mamlok, Mrs A Monaghan, Phipson and Standley.

Apologies for absence from Cllr. Ms H Whatmore
District Cllr. G Wells was also in attendance together with one member of the public concerned with the tennis courts floodlighting, and the other with the conference centre application.

The minutes of the meeting held on Saturday 27 March 2010 were ratified

WD/2008/0765/F  Wadhurst Tennis Club, Sparrows Green Recreation Ground, South View Road Sparrows Green
Erection of 9 static columns with attached floodlights alongside court Nos 1 and 2 only

The Committee supports this application provided that activity ceases at 9.00pm and that at any time during the first 12 months of operation. the Council should be entitled to require the applicant to adjust or shield any light source that is deemed to be a nuisance as far as reasonably practicable.

WD/2010/0526/MAJ  Wadhurst Conference Centre, Station Road
Demolition of existing buildings and erection of new 65 bed nursing home with associated parking, ancillary storage buildings and landscaping. Alterations to site access.

The Committee supports this application but permission should be subject to a condition that construction traffic facilities should be provided before building operations are commenced, there should be no parking on the road, no working on Sundays and Saturday afternoons, and appropriate surface water drainage and "grey water" systems provided.

WD/2010/0633/f  Beech Oast Grange, Osmers Hill
Demolition of existing outbuildings and erection of single storey extension linking house to existing garage block with flat over the existing garage to be converted into a games room including internal alterations to the house and removal of conservatory.

The Committee supports this application.
