'A Brief History of George Street and St George's Hall' by Mary Offord - price £4 - has been very well received. A full review in The Courier and copies have almost sold out, so we have ordered a reprint.
'Wadhurst in the Second World War - life in a Wealden Market Town 1939 - 1945' was available in the run up to Christmas - price £12 - and is selling well. Written by members of the Society, it reflects the results of a year's research and provides a fascinating glimpse of life in our community during those difficult years. Copiously illustrated and thoroughly indexed, the book also provides a flavour of life for the country at large.
