Our philosophy is to be a specialist provider of Palliative Care
to our local community. Palliative care is the total care of patients
whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment. Control
of pain, of other symptoms, and of psychological, social and spiritual
problems is paramount. The goal of palliative care is the achievement
of the best quality of life for patients and those important to
them.
We believe that Palliative care affirms life and regards dying
as a normal process. We neither hasten nor postpone death. We aim
to provide relief from distressing symptoms whilst integrating
the psychological and spiritual aspects of care, offering support
to families to help them cope during the patients' illness and
in their own bereavement.
Our Rose Garden Appeal is an enduring tribute to a lived relative
or friend, planted in the gounds of the Hospice at Pembury, Kent.
A red rose may be dedicated in memory of a special friend or loved
one. The roses will be planted over the winter to provide a splash
of colour inyears to come. You will receive a memorial card and
your loved one's name will be recorded in a special Dedication
Book which will be on display in the hospice. Whether or not your
loved one has received care from Hospice in the Weald, you can
create a special place where memories live on. For more information
